Listed below is the schedule I've lined out for the 2008 ASA tournament trail. I have tried to pick weekends which will not conflict with other "major" tournaments that could affect turn out at our ASA events. Would you mind letting me know if you know of any conflicts I may be running into? I appreciate your help! Our plan is to update the asa web site with the 2008 schedule next week.

January 10-12 Mid-Atlantic Rockfish Shootout

Virginia Beach, Va.



May 2-3 South Jersey Marina

Cape May, NJ



May 17-18 Bahr’s Landing

Sandy Hook, NJ



June 7-8 Bridgeport, Ct.



Sept. 13-14 Ocean Performance Inc.

Old Saybrook, Connecticut



Oct. 18-19 Mariner’s Cove Marina

Hampton Bays, NY



Nov. 1-2 South Jersey Marina

Cape May, NJ



Dec. 12-13 Manteo, NC

I want Montauk back and Another VA Beach Tournament!!!

More boats and more money!!!!


I also would like to see the NC tourney moved up closer to the fish at that time of year instead of 100 miles one way from them! That sucked running 400 miles in one weekend just to fish the tourney.

Oct. 18-19 Mariner’s Cove Marina & replaced with a tourney at Star Island marina in Montauk.

December 12th is very early for NC. If all the stars align there may be fish close then. If not then it will be the long run north. Our team catches so many fish in Cape May that we think both of those should be eliminated-it is only fair to the rest of you folks.

Where is snug harbour and no mass ? Two conn. And i agree with Mary bring back Montauk. And i agree with Carl, Hamptons is to far for all boats big or small. To much water travel with the prices of fuel. But they are a fountain dealer and that makes a difference.

boy nothing against ken but you should have bass tournments when there are bass in the area ,,not sure how he came up with the dates ,,,, he must own stock in fuel companys cause there is only 1 or 2 tournments with under a 100 mile run ,,,, this train is going down hill is there a need to rush it???

We haven't found any other major tournaments on those weekends that would interfere. I'll have to defer to the local experts on fishability in other areas besides New England.
I wish there were more..
