Best Catch: The last fish of the day
I gotta say both of you guys got some nice fish.
I was out Thursday and we were on a a non stop bite.
Most of the Togs were short. I still cant believe we cant fish for seabass but they allow all those traps out there. We could have filled the cooler with them. it seems like there was a war down there between the Seabass and Togs over the green crabs.

OKAY, now the question. What worked better circles or j's? If circles how did you fish them?

The first set up I had was the small circle hooks which seem to work okay. What i didn't like about them was removing the hook from the togs but the sea bass was fine. The togs have that tough lip which made removing the circle's a little bit of a pain. After I lost that rig to the reck I went back to J's it just an easier hook to remove from togs. I don't dead stick them and when the bite is on it's faster to release with J's. I can see how dead sticking would be good if you are alone and want to get the meat then what have you got loose except some more crabs.

Thanks for the reply. All questions answered for me. I'll stick with the old Virginia's.
Thanks,
Barry
