I could not pass up a great weather day so this morning I dropped my jet ski in at Owls Creek Boat Ramp in Virginia Beach Virginia. I departed Rudee Inlet at 0700 hrs to an awesome sunrise and flat seas. I made the 51 mile run off of Duck North Carolina in 1 hour 20 minutes averaging 40-45mph. I did the same coming back.
The fish were plentiful and I even saw a couple of whales. I managed 6 Striped Bass on a Stretch Plus Imitator and one on a 28oz Mojo. I kept two fish, a 36" and a 39".
Back to Rudee Inlet at 1200 hrs. I covered 108 miles today and burned 25gallons. One of my best roundtrips of the year so far as sea conditions. Here are some pictures from today.
