Sunday Blackfishing on the Rightaway II
Well we all knew that it was going to blow at some point but we gave it the old college try anyway. Left the dock around 6:30 am to nice flat conditions. We ran North out of the inlet to Capt Tom's usual haunts and had action immediately. Most of the fish were just under the limit so back they went. We wiggled around a bunch of times to find some larger fish but we weren't haveing much luck. All of my swinging and missing didn't help matters
Around 9:30 somebody turned the fan on and conditions went downhill fast. We ran back to the barn before we could get dialed in but it wasn't due to lack of effort by the Capt. Tom. He did everything that he could to get us some fish for the table.
There were boats all around us and I didn't see much action at all on any of the other boats. We had plenty of action but the fish were on the small side.
With a little meat in the cooler, I was able to get home early and watch some football..... and the back of my eyelids
There's always next time....
