Sun Daze weekly fishing report
Well this week was fun. Spent some time at site 11 and caught a lot of sea bass. Lots of little ones mixed was the occasional keeper. We did manage a few nice flounder this week in the back bay. However the best catch overall this week was the surprise catch of a 100# brown shark. The shark was caught by a 9 year old little girl while flounder fishing in the slough behind the VFW. This was the biggest shark I have ever seen back in the bay. It took her about 30 mins to get the fish to the boat. We managed to get it right up to the boat before the leader on the flounder rig broke. Pretty exciting stuff for an average day of flounder fishing in the bay!
