Without some serious legislative action, it is possible that fluke fishing could be CLOSED for a long while. Despite the flawed science behind such a closure, the Pew Foundation believes that the fishery should be closed for as long as 10 years. With $4.1 billion in the bank, they are an 800 pound gorilla about to wreck your summer fishing plans. The threat to sue has tied the hands of fisheries managers, so it is important that a solution comes from Congress.

What can you do??

2. Write your Senators and Congressman and tell them how you feel.

If we do not act immediately, the fishery could be closed. Say goodbye to every tackle shop and head boat in NY, NJ, MD, DE...... They will not survive even a 1 year closure.
