Headed out for our first striper trip of the fall season on Friday. With early morning low tide the water was alittle dirty when we started. It felt like striper season, cloudy, alittle rain, and a cold wind. We had a number of chances on the incoming tide but the crew need to warm up some but on the outgoing they were ready and we boated two nice stripers a 37" and a 39". Got up to go on Saturday morning but with the conditions decided to wait it out. With things looking better in the afternoon we hit the rips for the outgoing tide. We did a total of six drafts and boated four stripers one being 41 inches my first personal striper of the season. Can't wait to get back out after this storm blows throught!
I cancled my Sat. and Sun. last weekend due to the conditions. I am on the books to fish this weekend. Can't wait. They will be the first of this season. Great job on the report Ray.
Hurray!!! That means the CBBT should be seeing some action! I have my fingers crossed that our boat will be back in its slip by Friday! Va is got some serious restrictions on Stripers. Only 2 per person and none between 28" and 34".
It was good to see the stripers are here, I felt it was a little early but these guys where fired up so we give it a shot. We caught some fish and had a good time doing it, god I love this season. Good luck guys it's only going to get better
