Striper fishing has gone ballistic in cape may!!

The striper fishing is nothing short of epic right now in cape may. Double digit catches in very little time has been the norm for the past couple of days for us and some of the boats fishing just for stripers. The bite should be red hot for the next week or two then they will be gone as the water temps are screaming into the 70's but this blow we are having may lower the temps a little and keep the bass around for a few more days, only time will tell.
Sunday I had larry and his son out for their first ever striper trip and we got into the fish right away with the biggest fish going 47 inches and weighing in around 40 something pounds. Zach is only around 8 but he was no slouch on the rod, he had a little help from dad but never gave up! It was a blast watching him wrangle with these big fish, his biggest fish was a very nice fish of 30 something pounds but not as big as dads fish. I guess we will have to have a fish off the next time they are up

Monday I had dan and his his group out with jimmy as mate and the action was stellar catching the limit and letting the rest go was in order for this trip so thats what we did. the large fish of the day came in at 40 lbs and was steady action for the afternoon. Dan and his group were a little camara shy so Jim posed with a few nice ones.


I have a few dates open next week and I have thursday and saturday open for these trophy stripers. get on it while its hot!!
