Sterling Harbor, Wildwood, Fishing report 11-7
Chunking for Striped Bass in the Delaware Bay remains very good. Ron Eaton of Winslow, NJ weighed in a 23 pound Bass measuring 41 inches caught while chunking near the C & B on Alan Brown's boat "Reel Deal".
Andy Beccari of North Wildwood weighed in a 30 pound Bass measuring 45 inches boated while chunking in the lower Bay. Capt. Bob McCormick chunked the lower Delaware Bay on his boat "Happy Our" and crew member Paul Anderson from Plymouth Meeting landed a 38 inch Striped Bass and Earl Albone of Blue Bell, PA weighed in a 34 Pounder measuring 42 inches. A few Stripers, not many, were boated at the Cape May Rips during the week and no reports of fish being caught at the Rips came in over the weekend. A few Bass were caught in the North Wildwood surf over the weekend. Drew Applebaum of Cherry Hill, NJ had a 38 inch Striper caught on Clam in North Wildwood and reported a few others caught around him. In the back bays, schoolie Stripers with an occasional keeper are being caught on Clam or while plugging around bridges and sod banks. Togging remains good at the jetties and inshore wrecks.
