Flounder fishing has improved at the Cape May Reef and the Old Grounds this week. Mike Reed of Rockledge, PA weighed in an eight pound 4 ounce Flounder measuring 29 inches. Mike caught the fish at the Cape May Reef while fishing on his boat "Kensington Princess" out of Wildwood, NJ. Jim Gregg, of Milmont Park, PA weighed in a 4 pound 10 ounce Flounder and a 3 pound 2 ounce Flounder caught at the Old Grounds on John Merrick's "Sea Weed" out of Wildwood, NJ. Flounder are also being caught near Cape May Point. Bob Kubicky of Philadelphia weighed in a 2 pound 15 ounce Flounder caught on Gulp! while drifting on his boat Rosewood One near Cape May Point. There are scattered Fluke being caught in the Delaware Bay near 9 and 10 Buoys. The Wildwood Back bays continue to have non-stop flounder action, most of the fish are short, but there are a few keepers in the mix. Schoolie Stripers are hitting plugs and soft plastics in the Back Bays, mainly in the evenings or at night along sod banks, docks and bridges. Crabby Jack gives the crabbing 4 Claws this week and says the crabbing is just about as good as it gets. At the Canyons there are Yellowfin Tuna, White Marlin and Blue Marlin being caught while trolling. Dave Brown of Franklinville, NJ weighed in a beautiful 37 pound Dolphin caught at the Baltimore Canyon while fishing on Captain Pat Mastronardo's "100 Proof" out of Wildwood, NJ. In the surf, there are numerous Kingfish being caught on Bloodworms or Fishbites Bag O Worms.
