Flounder are being caught at the Cape May Reef, Wildwood Reef, Reef Site 11 and the Old Grounds. Flounder are also being caught near the Inlets, the mouth of the Delaware Bay and the Rips. Some Croakers are showing near the mouth of the Delaware Bay. Alan Ritter of Wildwood, NJ weighed in a 10 pound Flounder measuring 30 inches. Alan caught the fish while drifting Spearing on his boat "Little Devil" at the Wildwood Reef. Helen Oeffler fished with husband Ken on their boat "Lucky Dog" and nailed a 3 pound 15 ounce Flounder at the Cape May Reef. The fish measured 23 1/2 inches. Joe Ortlip of Villas, NJ had a
27 inch Flounder weighing 8 pounds 1 ounce from near Hereford Inlet while on his boat "Bathin' Beauty". There are still a few Flounder being caught in the Back Bays, closer to the Inlets. Schoolie Stripers can be caught in the Back Bays near bridges, docks and sod banks with surface poppers, soft plastics or Clam bait, mainly in the early mornings or evenings. Crabby Jack gives the crabbing 4 Claws this week. Kevin Ebner of Wildwood, NJ weighed in a 17 pound Mahi-Mahi measuring 43 inches and George Sliwinski of Philadelphia weighed in a
8 pound Barracuda. Both fish were caught while trolling on Charles Ebner's "Millie Lee" near 4FB. Tuna fish are scattered from the Spencer Canyon south and and there was a solid Tuna bite north of the Spencer all the way to the Hudson Canyon. Both Blue and White Marlin are being caught on a regular basis at the Canyons. Capt. Bob McCormick released an estimated 400 pound Blue Marlin from the Spencer Canyon and also released an est. 200 pound Bull Shark while trolling on his boat "Happy Our" out of Wildwood, NJ.
