It's been a pretty decent season so far with lot's of fish being caught and limits on most trips of fish between 28-40 inches with most fish in the mid 30" range. It's not as hot as the bite off Central Jersey right now but we will definitely take the action we are getting. Most of the ocean fish off Sea Isle down to Cape May have been taken in better numbers by trolling 9er umbrellas and Stretch 25 or Stretch "Alive" lures. The primary bait we are seeing in the area are sand eels and bay anchovies and a mixed spread of shad and sand eel or tube umbrella rigs have been getting the job done. For us the 6" green tiger shad and the pearl sluggo umbrellas have been very good. If you can get on a pile of fish without too many boats around jigs have been working but trolling seems to be out producing the jig by far right now. Trolling also seems to be a good way of staying away from the dog sharks and skates that are carpeting the bottom right now that most jig guys are dealing with. We are seeing surface temps ranging anywhere from 50-55 degrees and even warmer on some days so I am expecting an even better bite through December and hopefully into January if the weather hangs in there.

Did you guys do the work? Either way, that's a sweet ride for a boat 37 years old...
