With rising fuel more people are going to fish the back bays. There wont be many big flounder in the back for long. I have fished the tournament for the last two years. Im sure I will be there again this year.

Pitch this tourney is new...it's replacing Freds opening day tourney...it's a 100% charitable thing...(other than the beef and beer)...

Sign up...saturday opening day...No Bones B&T fish anywhere you want...just have the fish weighed in by 5pm

wait, how long has this been going on? years ago, i fished with bob shaw, "aqua clear" and george lewis, and i think we won this.......now trust me, i didnt win. if i remember correctly, i dropped me rod in the water. and bob shaw got it back. snagged it. anyway, thats why i bought the little 15 whaler, i plan on being the next........"inshore flounder champion". just like "south jersey champion," only inshore. i have much better hair than weber. thank god i dont look like him.

This tournament is something I put together with a local tackle store manager from No Bones Bait and Tackle Fred Ulhman. He is a master of teh back bay flounder fishing and any back bay fishing at that..it's what he does.

There are plenty of tournaments around...the Duke of Fluke...the JCAA tourney...but they are all of the mindset of "winning attitude"

This tourney is more of a Fundraiser. I thought it would be a great idea to get some form of tournament set up where ALL the proceeds get donated to the Save The Summer Flounder Fishing Fund. www.ssfff.net I'm not affiliated with them at all..just figure it would be a great way to generate some funds and hopefully ensure our future in the flounder fishery.

Again this is the First year for this tourney...so it needs all the support it can get...we have GREAT prizes...will have a beef and beer for an additional $15 at the door to cover food and beer...

The Winner of each division gets a custom built spinning rod(juniors girl/boy and top Adult division)..trophies.

We have awesome raffle prizes to be had!!!

I know this site isn't a fan of the bassbarn.com but that's where I'm from...and that's where this originated...so if here is a link to what I have started with Freds help to let you guys/ladies see what we are doing

It's for a great cause and I'm hoping for a great turn out...so far we are doing pretty good for anglers...

$25 per Angler-all gets donated to the ssfff
and all the raffles get donated as well...

Gotcha...yea I reached out to Fred to see if he would be willing to help...he said "why not just replace my opening day with this one"...said great idea...

He will be filming his opening day flounder show from "Jersey Cape Fishing" and will be based around the Tourney.

Should be a good time, hope to see you there!

Just trying to bump this one up. My family is donating a FREE weekend at our condo in North Wildwood. Basically any weekend from October thru April. A chance at 3days/2nights for a mere $25 entry fee. If anyone is from the South Jersey area this should be a nice, easy-going Flounder Tourney to benefit the SSFFF (Save the Summer Flounder Fishery Fund)Those of you who are concerned about the future of Flounder Fishing, this is a great opportunity to contribute with the chance of winning some nice gifts.

Good Luck and hope to see you on the water.

p.s. You do not need a boat to fish this, although it would be easier, any fish caught opening day, albeit from boat, land, surf, marsh, quailifies.
