Block Island to Cape Hatteras
The coast of Buzzards Bay and Vineyard Sound is currently reporting sea surface temperatures between 62 and 65°F. The southern coast of Long Island has sea surface temperatures currently ranging between 62 and 64°F, while the coast of Long Island Sound is currently ranging between 61 and 65°F. The mouth of the Hudson River Canyon currently ranges between 63 and 67°F. Slightly off the coast of New Jersey the sea surface temperatures are ranging between 65 and 68°F. There is a warm water eddy at 39.5°N and 70.5°W that is carrying sea surface temperatures between 70 and 73°F. The coast of Delaware is currently ranging between 64°F and 72°F near the center. The sea surface temperature off of the coast of North Carolina coastline is ranging between 72 and 80°F. There is a high water system off of the coast of Martha’s Vineyard that is currently 15 cm above sea level. The remaining coastline is relatively flat except for a low water system off of the coast of northern North Carolina that is 30 cm below sea level. Directly east of this low water system is a high water system that is currently 25 cm above sea level.
