Block Island to Cape Hatteras
The coastline of Cape Cod bay, Vineyard Sound, and Buzzards Bay is currently 68 to 72°F. The sea surface temperature off of Block Island Sound decreases to 63-66°F, while Long Island Sound increases back to 68-72°F. The sea surface temperature directly off of the coast of New Jersey and Delaware are currently 63 to 66°F. The sea surface off of the coast of New Jersey increases to 72 to 75°F, while the water off the coast of Delaware increases 76-78°F. The sea surface temperature off of the coast of North Carolina is currently 70 to 74°F, while the sea surface temperature off remains in the 78 to 78°F region. The Gulf Stream carries sea surface temperature between 78 and 82°Falong the north Atlantic coastline until about 40°N. There is a low water system off of the coast of Block Island that is currently 25 cm below sea level. The New Jersey and Delaware coastline is relatively flat, but there is a low water system off of the coast of North Carolina that is 30 cm below sea level.
