Sea Devil fishing report 11-22 Pt Pleasant beach
Sunday November 21: What a great day! Lots of blues, plenty of bass and sunshine! Captain Bob pulled us out of the slip. Once out of the inlet, we headed north up the beach. Joining us today were KGB painting , Big Bob and Annette, Chris Groeger, Pat, Miriam and boys Brian & Bradley, Alex and his daughter, and of course Team Sperco . The team consisted of , team founder Paul Sperco , team captain Deb , Arty "The Hook " Weber , Chucky " The Iron Man " Firth , and the ever reliable anchor "El Pescadoro" . (The angler formerly known as DALY). Working the deck, were Mike 1 and Slim Mackin. After a few minutes, Captain Bob ran over some reading. He stopped the boat, and we went to work. First fish of the day goes to Deb, A killer Sea Devil Striper! Chris Groeger got a massive blue, KGB guys were killing them up in the bow. Big Bob was in, as was his wife Annette. Arty was in, El Pescadoro landed a killer blue, Sperco got some of the action, as did Brian , Bradley and parents Pat & Miriam. The Iron Man was doing his Marty imitation & got nothing. Things dropped off, so Captain Bob moved the boat. On this drift, Deb comes down, bags another keeper striper. The KGB gang was in, Sperco got a blue, El Pescadoro got one also. A few really nice Sea Devil stripers came over the rail. And a bunch of big fat head Sea Devil blues! Things dropped out, so we moved again. By this time Alex’s daughter had 2 keeper stripers again! (She had 2 the other day.) Chucky dropped his Marty skit, to land a nice Sea Devil striper; El Pescadoro landed a few more slamming blues. Sperco hit a striper, as did Arty, and Annette landed another striper! KGB Painting was killing them. We had a school of dog fish move in, but that wasn't a problem, as we had a few kids on board, and they thought it was the greatest thing. (Shark Hunting Aboard the Sea Devil!) The kids hooked a bunch of dogs, while some more blues and stripers came over the rail, a slow but steady pick. Then things went totally cold. Time to go, but wait, fish on! El Pescadoro is in! It was a classic battle of “Man Vs. Beast ". It looked like the beast was going to win, but El Pescadoro would have nothing of that. After an epic battle, Mike 1 gaffed another killer Sea Devil Striper! The day was complete, and it was time to head in. We had 20 keeper Sea Devil stripers 12-17 LBS. We had 1 keeper bass for every 5 blues caught. John “El Pescadoro “Daly, Princeton NJ, won the striper only pool with a nice 17 pounder. We Had Another Great Day! On A Great Boat, With a Great Captain, Great Crew, and Great Crowd on the biggest, cleanest and most fun blue fishing boat in Point Pleasant!
What are you waiting for? Fishing Is Great! At this time, there are only 3 more dates to catch some of this awesome fishing: Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 11-26, 11-27, 11-28.
Have a safe and happy THANKSGIVING! Then go fishing!
Saturday, November 20: Excellent fishing for blue fish and stripers today, just a couple of miles outside of the inlet today. All fish are big and still being caught on jigs. All anglers hooked into a big bass and by 11:30, many anglers stopped fishing because they had plenty of blues also and needed a rest. Eddie Mackin landed the pool winning bass that weighed about 20 pounds.
Cindy has not been publishing fishing reports because of her work schedule. Please note that the boat will be sailing tomorrow and then again on Friday, Saturday & Sunday after Thanksgiving.
