Not a really busy day through the shop today; Charle says he didn't hear much about todays fishing from anyone stopping back through. Did hear some word that catching was good after dark last night.

Fishing Report:
It was a great evening to be fishing. I made the trip late afternoon and it was well worth the hour ride & investment for gas and bait. The fish started biting as the rain rolled in and I have to thank the guy at the end of the point for inviting me down closer. By 8pm I had a 32" & 34" fish.

Fishing Report:
Took mymistress out for a evening on the water for first trip of 2010. Spent the evening feeding crabs and other unknown species too small to get the hook. Just before 9 pm with last two baits in the water, pole 1 thumps around in the rod holder but bait is taken without a hook up. Moments later pole 2 does the same dance but this time when I reel the line tight (circle hooks), the hook finds the mark. Fish comes right to the top slashing repeatedly on the way in. No mistake as to what species it was even though I couldn't see it in the pitch dark. Only question was size. 28.5 inches and first keeper of 2010. Wasn't in the mood to clean fish so he swam away for another day. First time in 8 years fishing for stripers I got a keeper on first trip out in April not counting when slot fish were allowed.
