We have not heard any chatter at all from ocean fishing anglers. Sea conditions look even less favorable for Sunday with a North Easter settling in for a bit. The wind is supposed to howl, pushing the seas up to five to eight; which means you can write the middle of the week off for fluke fishing out on the ocean, too.

Blowfish anglers were busy again this morning. There were a lot a very small blowfish in the mix. Even so, there were still plenty of keeper size ones to make a few meals. I was glad to hear that there continues to be the surprise good size kingfish caught too. A couple of the porgies are getting close to the nine inch keeper size limit; I don't believe anyone has had keepers in the Great Bay though.

Crabbing folks are coming through with mixed reports. Some say it is still good, others saying "...nothing but a bunch of small crabs". The good news is that there are still plenty of crabs around to keep the crabbing trips entertaining.

Snapper fishing anglers working the lagoons are catching the occasional ten inch weakfish too. Big snapper this week was just a couple ounces short of a pound. Not too shabby for a back yard bluefish!
