Today was a put it all back day for a lot of people. It was also a clean it up day too as there was plenty of small debris to gather and bundle for the trash cans.
Several folks were out crabbing in their little boats doing well. Others had good crabbing right off the docks.
We were surprised that the water is clean enough that the peanut bunker didn't leave our back lagoon. This bodes well for future bay fishing if and when folks put the boats back into the water.
I have nothing to report about the status of the bars in the Little Egg Inlet or if the water cut through the lower end of Long Beach Island across from Little Sheepshead Creek like it did a couple of years ago. Maybe someone can shoot us an e-mail with updates once the boating traffic begins again.

It's a good morning here in Mystic Islands. There is no crisis. Water levels didn't reach the October 31 1991 storm levels and were a good two feet less then the 100 year storm of December 12 1992. Roads appear to be open and traveled heavily this morning. If you evacuated, come on home. Everyone that broke their backs to lift furniture and secure your yards; you did the right thing. This storm originally had the potential to do the damage the doom sayers were touting. Fortunately for most of us, it mostly broke apart and we have no damage at all (beyond some small stuff from the wind). I am not saying that it is over for others as HEAVY RAINS are likely to cause flooding to the north of us. As far as tides go, we are past the critical wind direction and high tide times and there is no further possible flooding going to occur in Mystic Island after this mornings high tide at 8:00am.
