The threatening weather had many anglers concerned about getting caught in a thunderstorm. As it turns out, the storm that was coming across the state most of the morning broke up before it arrived here.
The one fluke report I heard this afternoon came from an angler that had a good day between the Research buoys and the Little Egg Reef. They had a good drift and left the fish biting as the wind came up and started to make the ocean a little bit sporty.

Today there was good Fluke activity out on the reef sites. Garden State South did well, as did Little Egg reef from what we heard. We had two weigh-ins today that had Fluke, Tog, and Seabass. The Fluke were caught at an unspecified reef and the Tog and Seabass were caught in deeper water farther offshore, with a mix of Cod. The usual Kingfish and Blowfish are in the clam stakes and with a mix of other misc. fish.
