We are hopeful to see some bloodworms soon, but it's still a whole lot of winter everywhere and I am sure with the storms that the digging conditions --mainly the tides-- haven't been very cooperative for the guys in Maine.
There were a few folks in again for bait and they know that catching isn't very likely, however there is some peace to be found in just wetting the line and they are very content to do just that.

We are starting to get calls about Graveling Point. Guys...we just had a blizzard. The water temps are near to freezing. There won't be a bite until the water hits 45-55 degrees. Going down there when the water is around 37 degrees is just a good way to get frost bite.
Check out our spring run page to see the previous years catch data to pass the time. It's still a good time to prep...Clean those reels...check over your tackle to see what you need, etc.
For the diehards that just can't wait - we should have bloodworms for bait on Wednesday, so long as the supplier is able to get it and the weather doesn't prevent them from bringing it down to us.
