There are some BIG BASS lurking the Little Egg Inlet. Tony Cooper started off the afternoon with a THIRTY POUNDER only to be shown up for catch of the day by Bob Stelle with a 48.7 pounder 50 1/2"!!! Early anglers had a better bite, but activity ok throughout the day with some late afternoon bass caught on the incoming tide too.
Blustery winds chased most anglers off the ocean by 9:00am. Sea bass, Tautog and trolling anglers switched over to dunking clams on the bars of the Inlet.

Trolling anglers found plenty of activity today. Many had hopes of pure linesiders and found aggressive bluefish. The closer the beach they fished, the better the chance of sneaking a bass rather then all bluefish. Hot lure remains Manns stretch 25+.
Bunker snaggers found bunkers and turned an occasional striper too.
Inlet anglers found stripers on clam; no slam bang today, just reports of three and four fish. No one particular bar was reportedly better then another.
Graveling Point evening striper action is overdue. Plenty of no good reports since the hot flurry a week ago Tuesday. Someone has to catch the next first one!
