Scott's Bait and Tackle 3-20 Mystic Island

A little bit of sunshine, some warm weather and stripers equals fishermen’s heaven. There were a couple of keepers yesterday and today that we heard about this afternoon. Bigger striper was around thirty two inches, with the other keepers just over the twenty eight inches. A mix of shorts evens out the day; activity is still a pick, just enough anglers hopeful.
If you are going to try and see the "New Inlet" that cut though at the end of Holgate, you will find a much better view from the fifth bridge, second one after Capt. Mikes. I would suggest bringing a pair of binoculars to get a better look as you really can’t see much more then a space where the dunes should be. From a distance; it’s hard to tell whether there is flow or if the beach is just leveled out in that area.
We absolutely blew through the bait today. It is quite possible that we could be out of bloodworms and fresh clams by mid day tomorrow. If you care coming a distance, check the page for an update as I will post if we are out or almost out. There will be no more supply of worms or clams until Tuesday and that means we will be good to go when we open Wednesday morning.
