Scott’s Bait and Tacle report, 3-18 Mystic Island
Wednesday, March 17, 2010 /\/\/\ 5:28pm
Word is we have a new Beach Haven Inlet? You can see it, looking East, from the top of the fifth bridge on Great Bay Blvd. It will be interesting to see if it gets bigger or if it fills back in.
Some anglers took advantage of the nice day and hit Graveling Point. No new news to pass along. Lots of worms ordered for the weekend and I hope to have fresh clams delivered on Friday too.

Fishing Report:
I decided to get the line wet yesterday afternoon at Winding River Park in Toms River. I fished for about and hour or so and I caught a 'Jumbo' Yellow Perch from shore. It was 12.5" long and weighed 15oz. I used a grub worm (dug from my backyard) to catch this fish with a #6 hook (bottom fishing).

Weighed in the first keeper striper off Graveling Point this evening, caught around 4:15pm by Ken Smith, winner of the $100.00 annual prize. He said he also caught a couple of other fish. It's finally time, folks! I'll get the picture work done and striper page updated tomorrow.
