sandy hook surf fishing

I plan on trying some surf fishing at the hook tomorrow,are there any current reports?

Fished the surf all morning today 4/2 only to catch some sun. Least no crabs shanking my bait yet! Not many guys fishing ocean side yet but still beautiful day to be out on the beach. Did hear of a few shorts cought on bay side.

I was told the Bay side of the Hook is producing, and the Ocean side has seen a few bass, but not much to talk about. I'm not sure how accurate that is, it's what I heard. I haven't been to the Hook yet to fish. Been in UB and Belford. 2 Nights ago at UB me and the guys next to me where getting hits and only brought in 1 26incher. Earlier that day I reeled in another shorty 20incher on the west shore in Belford at M.C.M. Heard 1 short and 1 keeper was brought in right before I got there.
