Hey has anyone been having luck like B-faithful had the other day,Downriggers for Rockfish?. If you've been catching them, what have you been using? Thanks in advance and I hope to see lots of posts of people catching the hell out of some rockfish!

It has been VERY HOT by Bloody Point...
Trolling a 13 rod spread with planer boards.
1 side I run 5 single chutes other side I run 5 tandems. All lures of varrying weights. Longer lines closest to the boards but when I rotate out everything has been at 4 bars behind the planer line.
I run 2 umbrellas deep off the transom and a wwb daisy chain. Last trip out the solo parachutes were the ticket. All colors are catching except yellow. Purple and blue have been hottest.
One day the bite was in deep water (75-100') and the other it has been shallower (45-65'). East-west troll until you find them. Water has to be moving for the bite!
Bigger fish have come off the deep umbrellas that I have been trying to run by the thermocline (which has been around 30' deep the last few trips). Most fish have been mid-upper 30's class. My largest this spring has only gone 43" so far.
I should be out tomorrow for a bit. (leaving the dock at around 9:30 and in before 3pm)
Good luck.

Thanks B, Glad to see that your still tearin' it up out there. I should be out this Sunday. Is there a lot of traffic? I hope I see you out there!
Anyone else? I hope to be able to post on my own thread about destroying those rockfish.
Single 3 oz. alien bucktails off the board, oh yeah 6 " shad. yellow head w/white hair and shad.
3 of the biggest fish so far this year all over 42".
nice to hear that hook, thanks for the heads up. How deep were they running? I'll be out this Sunday putting all this good advice to the test. Got any pictures of those monsters?
Tore them up yesterday. I got out late but Bill Judge called me in on a hot bite so I didnt have to go searching around. (thanks Bill!!) Lost count of the fish but boated around 14 fish and had a bunch of knockdowns too. Green was the hot color but the fish over 40" went on white. Here is one of the little girls from yesterday!

We were the Glacier Bay, huh small world, the bite was good but it was nothing like last friday, that was the first day I every really lost count of fish, trolling. Sunday, had 4 on fast then picked up the other 2 , but I think we arrived a little late around 11:00ish and caught the tail end of it. Left at 4:30.
Great job on the 14, this preseason fishing my favorite time to troll, come 2 week it is going to be a mad house out there.
