RISKY BUSINESS STRIPER report 19 fish 3 days to 58 pounds w/pics

What a few days of fishing for us!!
Thursdays trip I had Joe and his group out for real Trophy Stripers. I decided on a spot that would be hero or zero and it turned out to be the right move. Once the tide started to roll it was game on with bites right away. We caught our limit in short order and went into release mode but the ninth fish was badly gut hooked so we kept that and decided not to fish anymore as these fish were all big and just engulfing the baits. The count for this day of fishing was 4 fish over 40 pounds 1 fish that was 51 pounds and the other 4 fish were in the upper 30 pound range. Joe has the pics and will post them up soon.

Fridays trip I had Joe platt and his gang out for the same thing and went right back to the same spot. The action was a little slower for us today but we had some serious quality. We had a quick flurry of bites and while I was tending to a rod one starts to scream Joe grabs it and whacks the fish and after a nice fight its boat side, I look down and say holy crap thats a big fish! get it on the boat and we all just stare at it in awl and didnt even put any lines back in the water. I pulled out my trusty scale that only goes to 50 pounds and the fish bottomed it out. I figured I wouldnt get a certified weight on the fish as I knew I wouldnt be back for any tackle shops to be open so I bleed the fish and put him on ice. We only caught 4 fish that day but 2 were over 40 and one was in the 30's and the big mamma taped out at 54 inches with a 30 inch girth and weighed in at 55 pounds back at the dock on my buddies 60 pound boga grips. I figure after I bleed the fish, put him on ice for 4 hrs he lost three pounds of weight easy. Congratulations joe for catching a fish of a life time with us!! Here are some pics of Joe and his fish.

    Saturdays trip
Had Brian cook out for, you guessed it, stripers. Went back to the spot and as soon as I had the hook set and baits in the water it was game on with a quick Flurry of fish missing one bite but getting the other two in the boat nice healthy fish in the 30 and one in the 40 pound range. We had a lull for a bit then one rod bends over and starts screaming line set the hook and the fish takes off for the ocean get him to the boat and put the net to him and a nice 44 pounder hits the deck. After that we fish we had a lull for a bit and all of a sudden one rod goes then another, and another triple header oh yeah clear the last line and three cookie cutter 38 pounders hit the deck!! after that we had enough and called it a day and came in.
Here are some pics from Brians trip.

So total tally was two fish over 50 pounds 6 fish in the 40 pound range and a bunch of 30 pounder and a 2 fish that were in the upper 20's. What a few days of fishing and I feel it will continue for a week or two.
I have a few days open next week if you would like to book a trip for a chance to catch a fish of a lifetime!!
