Another fish weighed in for the Riptide Striper Derby
Another fish just weighed in to the Riptide Striper Derby. Paul Todd caught this 37" 17 pound striper in the Brigantine surf on a frozen salted clams. This is the only fish weighed in today and does not mean that we are having a BLITZ, yet.......... Perfect fishing weather. I should be getting bunker in tomorrow night. Life is goodAny fish CB???
Good Luck
Poppa Jack wanted to show the boys at Vanguard who the boss is on the boat and caught two nice fish to bring home for dinner yesterday. Today we had a nice school of fish show up at the North end as several anglers caught fish in the 20-25 pound class range. Jeff Smith called to say he has a 42 inch striper he's bringing in to weigh. The Elks tournament has had a couple fish in the boat division weighed in already as the boaters were trying to get their fishing in early before the wind picks up. All the fish that we know about have been caught up at the North end of the Island. I am waiting for the Hotel guys to start weighing in fish. The wind is picking up now and is supposed to blow through the night. You need 5-6oz sputniks to hold. we did have 100 pounds of FRESH bunker come in but it went out as quick as it came in. Trying to make the right connections up North and I will post if I get anymore in. These bass will eat everything and anything like the striper that was caught on squid the other day by Misty Rivera. We are loaded with FRESH clams and I will update when the next weigh-ins come in.
Thanks and Good Luck
Phil Moses was our first weigh in of the morning. He caught it last night and it was 14 lbs 10oz. He said he was holding with 6oz sputnik. The wind has been howling they are calling for it to continue but "they" have been wrong before and we know the fish are here. I had 8 weigh-ins yesterday including Pat Cooke's 18 pounder and 8 pounder to take the early lead in the surf division of the Elks tournament. Pat also takes over 2nd place in the Riptide Striper Derby that continues until December 23rd. We have plenty of FRESH clams and FROZEN bunker. Loaded with eels also.
Good Luck Capt Andy

Pat Cooke just stopped in two weigh in two more fish that he just caught. The biggest weighed 27 pounds and increases his lead in the Elks striper tournament. The sun is out and the fish are here, are you?????
Guy Wilkins and his crew caught these three nice fish to 20 pounds as they could care less about the wind. I had three other boat fish weighed in and the Elks tournament is starting to heat up with just about 24 hours left to fish. Pat Cooke is kicking some a$$ in the surf division and the boat division is going to be close. BUNKER NO!!!! FRESH CLAMS YES!!!!!!

Looks like the bite is back on for the Brigantine surf as Antony Ayers Big A just caught a 21 pounder to get on the board in the Elks Tournament. Ken B almost had a nice one, guess he will have to upgrade his equipment or learn how to land a fishI'm going out now to try and catch me a Moron!!!!!!!

Slow day with the striped ones today. Had 2 from the boat that Drew weighed in and none from the beach. They still have until 3:00 to weigh fish in for the Elks but it was very quite out there. Maybe a Monday morning blitz to start the week off ?????? I will update the results tomorrow of the tournament.
Capt Andy
Rick and Dave Mitchell just nailed this 43" 27 pound striper for the Elks tournament. Bob and his Dad Gene also weighed in two fish to 14.5 pounds from the boat along with John Rossi's 12 pound striper. Linda Davoli weighed in her 14 pounder from the surf. Should be an interesting final and party over at the Elks at 4:00........ Overall a pretty slow day as far as the fishing went.
