Nice bluefish bite going on down at the beach. Finger mullet have shown up and the blues are all over them. King fish are still biting strong but they have been still been on the small side 10-11" at there best. Stripers are starting to be caught on plugs and they should start to take the Riptide Rotters soon. Anglers on the boats have been plugging them off the side banks behind Brigantine in their boats. We just got a load of FRESH finger mullet in and have had fresh clams in but won't see the again until Friday. No weigh-ins yet for either Tournament.

Will the sillies EVER win another game??? Great weekend, Jets and Giants WIN!!! Yanks win!!!! Rivera sets the record, beagles LOSE and Dick gets hurt. Almost orgasmic???? Now don't get me wrong, the G-men looked like shit but did get the job done. next week will be a BIG game with a lot of smack talking going on. Don't forget that life is short so have fun while you are here!!!!

Thanks and Good Luck

Capt Andy

P.S. The North end will be open on the weekends from now on, they will not be working on Saturday or Sundays..

The two fishing tournaments started this week on Monday and there have been plenty of anglers out there trying to get a jump on the Fall striper season. Phil Babilinio just sent me a picture of a keeper striper he just caught on Riptide Rotter's down by the Jetty. The finger mullet have moved in and the blues have been feasting on them. Andy Smith was out using a Deadly Dick and had flounder nailing it on a slow retrieve in the surf. He switched over to blood worms and started to catch king fish and nailed a keeper flounder. The jetty has been giving up stripers on both plugs and bait. We have been tournament central in here signing up anglers for both the AC County Derby and the Riptide Striper Derby. The beach replenishment will not be going on up at the North end on Saturdays and Sundays so you will be able to use the access on the weekends. We have FRESH Riptide Rotter's in here along with FRESH mullet and jumbo blood worms. We are open and here to service your fishing needs every day in the rain, wind, sleet or snow. We are having a huge sale at the shop with all flounder rigs, flounder combos, Gulp, and buck tails at 25% off. We also have our spot delivery coming up and our orders are almost filled for this one, I can probably squeeze in about 500 more so give me a call at the shop and I will put you on the list for either this week or the following weeks delivery.

The 150.00 prize is still out there for the first king fish over 14 inches to be caught and brought into the shop from the Riptide Summer Fishing tournament. Don't let that money go to waste!!!!!!

Thanks again for all the good Bday wishes yesterday but I petered out early and will try again today..... Calling for rain but the fish don't care. I know of an 18 pounder and another bass taken on eels from a boat last night. 20 inch blue fish have been all over chasing the finger mullet and we even had a couple of 13+ inch king fish in the shop yesterday. Still nobody has broken the 14" mark to take home the king fish prize????? will it happen today??? We have FRESH clams and nice blood worms plus all the other baits you will need to catch tonights dinner.

Good Luck

Linda Davoli just caught and weighed in a 14.25 inch king fish to win 155.00 for the Riptide Summer Fishing tournament. It weighed in at 1lb 1.4 oz and it was also entered into the Atlantic County Derby. The kings have definitely gotten bigger in the past two days and there are plenty of them out there. Nice job Linda, you work hard at it and deserved i
