Walt Cherkas just weighed in a 43 inch 27 pound striper caught off the surf in Brigantine. Maybe the fish are here again? I will have to wait and see what the later part of the afternoon brings us...... That moves Walt into 2nd place in the Riptide Striper Derby..........
Is this the start of another Saturday blitz
Ya never know..... Dan and Marianne Neff fished all morning and caught everything but a striper and just when they were getting ready to leave they nailed a nice 16 pound striper to put on the dinner table. It has been VERY slow out there the past couple of days and this morning has been no different. I weighed in an 18 pounder yesterday but it has been slim pickens. Im waiting for it to bust wide open like it did last Saturday and put the fish into a feeding frenzy. Mr Smith was out all day and came back with 50 pounds of bunker, not very much but he seems to be the only one out there getting any so I will take what I can get.
