Fishing today was slow for the charter boats, we fished the Rockpile with the standard spread of ballyhoo and bars, the temp averaged 78'. A strong current from the remnants of Ernie has taken a hard turn pushing 5-6 knots to the north. It has shut down the tuna and dolphin bite. Although 97 miles to the south outside the Norfolk canyon white marlins were biting. The current change certainly has the bait scarce, we are watching closely for the current to fall out which will have a lot of hungry fish looking for baits. Should be just right by the weekend. We did manage to catch some small dolphins and one sailfish.
Call us if you're heading out, we'll be glad to let you know our plan, looks like we'll be out again this weekend.
We have openings for FOUR anglers for Sunday! Call us asap, weather looks great.
