What's left of KATRINA hit my area here in OCEAN CITY NJ. last night. Wind SSW around 20 gusts to 25. I just got back from checking out the Great Egg inlet and it is not navigable. The swell is 4 to 6 breaking across the channel. The bar on either side of the channel is bigger. Some rain but not the heavy stuff yet. no fishing today probably not tomorrow.
While I was standing on the sand dune I was trying to emagine what the Gulf coast was like. Man it had to be the worst thing you could ever expierience. I hope things get back to normal soon. I wish all in that area the best.

couldn't imagine what they had to face down there and what they're goin to have to deal with in the upcoming days, weeks and months....good luck to all
