Today we had the pleasure of fishing with Howard Holder and his family of 7 aboard to take a shot at the striped bass. Its no secret that most of the bass have migrated up the bay and late March can be hit or miss fishing but the gang wanted to give it a shot and we were glad to oblige. Not much life showing on the ocean front today. Gorgeous weather and warming up a bit. After taking a look down South to no avail, we found a scattered bait mark or 2 at Cape Henry and went to work. With the pretty weather we put out the boards with a 22 rod spread and ground out a catch. Painfully slow going today with not much showing. We got over a small rack of nice fish and got one pass on them hooking 3 fish within 20 minutes but never could locate them again.
The gang did a great job in cranking in em when they bit. Shown here is Howard helping his grandson reel in the first bite of the day which ended up being a nice 30 pound class fish. Gotta love the enthusiasm in that young mans face.

Thanks Howard and the crew. You guys are awesome to fish with. See you for DEEP DROPPIN!
