Fished the incoming tide last night.
Left the marina around 5pm yesterday.
We pounded our way across the bay to Great Kills to net up the bunker. Found them in the back around the sail boats. 3 throws and off we go with a full live well and plenty of chunk baits.
We set up in 20 feet of water along the reach. We got there at the end of the outgoing and set the hook. We had a slow pick of bluefish for the first couple of hours untill the tide changed.
As soon as the tide started to come in we picked up our first bass of the year, 27"
Had lots of action finishing up with 6 keeper bass up to 36", a few shorts (4 or 5) and a bunch of bluefish.
We had a great time for our first trip of the year and put some meat on the table.
