Quick Report Striper Fishing Cape May
Got the call this week that my good buddy Chad had 2 open spots to go try our luck striper fishing today. So I called Jason and we were set for this morning
Game plan was to fish the inlet rocks with spot than head out to the rips to try our luck.
Well with the full moon(I hate fishing during the full) and hard northwest winds the last couple of days. Conditions were not pretty. Wind was still tootin out of the south west which made fishing the rocks a bit of a challenge.
I ended up catching one and missing one. The one I caught had eyes bigger than his stomach as his mouth wasn't much bigger than the spot i was using.
We headed to the rips and it was like coffee and winds made it a mess, fished for a little bit and decided to call it a day we were not gonna put a full day in so we decided to not wait on the turn of the tide.
I did hear some bird plays started showing in sea isle with some big blues and bass have been seen in the bunker nets up that way also.
I was impressed with Chads boat, i've never fished a 29 Jupiter and must say it was a smooth operator. nice and beamy for a center console under 30ft. Also it wasn't cluttered like some of the boats you see nowadays.
I shot some scenery pics. So I hope you enjoy.
