The lower Chesapeake tributaries are chock full of puppy drum right now! Caught several double decker pppydrum while spot fishing last weekend. Also caught them by mistake the week before trying to make bait. After catching a couple on bloodworms last weekend I threw out a mullet chunk and it didn't even sink before a three pound pup was taking off with it. Cut mullet chunks are the best pup bait until the water clears up more. Then the best bait will be cut mullet. Holwachagot.
