I gotta give you boys in the chessie some credit, Man you can troll some rods down there. Wonder if it would work in the De Bay.
it is certainly a work of art when it is done right.
Should work in Del bay as long as you keep enough room between boats. Most planer boards are attached to 100 to 300' of line, even with the boards angled away from the boat that is still a very wide beam.
Definatately not enough room with boats in de bay.
Never tried de bay but de bay chunking has been taken to cheaspeak and our local master tried it and failed. Personaly I don't think the catch rate would be the same using boards up here. I have fished for bass from Massachusetts to Hatteras and each area has own own styles and the fish have preference In each area from live lining spoons jigging chunking to planer boards with tanxems mojos umbrellas. Some of the best bass fishing I have done has been sandy hook for live lining., Chesapeake for trolling and tons of bait up the bay stacked up. So much that you can see the bunkers hitting the lines running . Now I wanna go fishing
Mary,
you look great in a birds nest, WOW ! that looks like a record of some kind.
Best Rock bass fishing for us in a long time down here. Plenty of big fish as I am sure you have heard, hope the cycle has shifted back to Carolina for a few years. I like fishing from home !
We have them down to a science we get 32 rods of of a 46ft. They work great.
no doubt it would work in DE bay..If traffic heats up..just shorten the planer lines
i cant wait to start doing that in april. its going to be an absolute disaster.
