Sea Bass!

Despite the wind the past couple days we made it out Sea Bassing both Friday and Today. Friday's trip was OK, but not nearly as good as the couple trips prior. A fair amount of fish were caught but the keeper percentage was down on Friday with 4 to 8 being the average.

Today was a different story! The boat sailed with a nice sized crowd and Capt. Francis' first drop produced Sea Bass.................1 of them!

Needless to say he quickly figured out it was time to move.

After that the bite was on for the rest of the day having to only fish two more spots for the entire day. There were a number of limits on the boat with many anglers having from 15 to 20 keepers each. Some had less but most did very well. The conditions early on took their toll on some anglers but those that fished all day were well rewarded for sure! As one angler put it when getting off the boat..."I must have caught 80 or 90 Sea Bass myself, but at least today I got to keep 20 of 'em!"

Some highlights from today were:

Brian Derr from Fleetwood, PA had 15 keeper Sea Bass and 3 Cod, one of which was the pool winner, Ronal Hardrick from Croydon, PA had 22 Sea Bass, Tom Horan from Levittown, PA had his limit of 25 Sea Bass, Rick Davis from Philadelphia had his limit of 25 Sea Bass, Jeffery Huffman from Basking Ridge, NJ had 17 Sea Bass and 1 keeper Blackfish.

That's two for two with guessing the weather will be wrong again. First opening Day they blew the forecast and again today. Rough? Yep. Windy? Yep. 25 to 30? Not even close.
We'll be back out tomorrow looking for a repeat!

We will have a 13 Hour Veteran's Day Marathon sailing on Friday, November 11th from 4:00am till 5:00pm fishing for Ling, Cod and Sea Bass.

Our Marathons sail every Monday & Friday from 6:30am to 5:00 pm. Our Marathons give anglers a longer day, fishing the wrecks, rocks & reefs and our primary target on these trips is Sea Bass.
Our Thursday, Saturday and Sunday trips will sail from 6:30am till 3:30pm and are targeting primarily Sea Bass.

Our Deep Water Wreck Specials sail every Tuesday and Wednesday fishing the deep drops in the Mudhole and other areas for Ling, Cod and Pollock. Do not be surprised if some Sea Bass come up on these trips as we often see them moving into the deeper waters as the winter moves in.
