Ling & Cod

We continued to catch a number of Cod on our past few trips and had a few Ling mixed in on a couple of them as well. We have been catching as many throw back Cod as keepers, which has made for some decent action during the cold winter days! Some days have seen 30 or 40 throw back Cod and 2 or 3 dozen keepers. Mark & Diane Taber-Miller from PA combined for 11 keepers this weekend, Dave Torelleo from Freehold, NJ had 4 keeper Cod and Al Coley from Bricktown, NJ had 3 keeper Cod and 4 Ling.

The large number of throw back Cod combined with a fair number of keepers is encouraging, especially since they have been fairly widespread.

Most trips are now catching mostly Ling and Cod and a few Blackfish mixed in as well.

Our Monday and Friday Marathons sail every Monday & Friday from 6:30am to 5:00 pm. Our Marathons offer a longer day, enabling the captain to hit more or further spots, whatever is needed and are catching Ling, Cod and a few Blackfish.

Our Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday trips will sail from 6:30am till 3:30pm and are catching Ling, Cod and a few Blackfish.
