Over Under Adventures - Saturday Slump Continues

All we can really report, is that if you can avoid fishing on Saturday, do so. Seems every Saturday since late June has gotten worse and worse for us. Today, I think our 4 boats combined, had 5 or 6 bites and caught maybe 3 fish...Low Profile had a 50" Bluefin, Justified had a Yellowfin and a small bluefin, Pretty Work didn't have a bite, and not really sure what THATS RIGHT did, but I know it wasn't much. A lot of ground got covered today. Todd reported he trolled from 40 fathoms to 300 fathoms of the Poormans, and then all the way back to 20...caught his yellowfin in 40, missed a wahoo in 150 and caught a bluefin on the Jackspot...

Saturdays STINK!!! My catch logs (going back a decade off OC,) prove that (at least for me!) weekend fishing is not only more aggrivating from all the boat traffic, it also produces a marlin & tuna bite down about 30% overall. There was less of an effect 10 years ago, but I guess that makes sense considering how many more boats there are out there, these days.

Well, today was another day...but still not a good one. John on Pretty Work had a pretty decent day, catching 7 Bluefin, one goign 62 inches. Other than that, we all pretty much sucked again today. LOW PROFILE didn't catch a tuna, JUSTIFIED caught one, and I didnt' even hear from THATS RIGHT, so I'm sure their day was not good either.

But hey...tomorrow is monday...
