LOW PROFILE just ran its last 2 day trips of the season, with very different results. Saturday we went out looking for Bluefin 30-40 miles off the beach. What we found were big waves and no fish...back to the dock at 12:00 calling it quits.
Back out today, with a new plan, we headed to the Wilmington and had a nice day, catching 3 of 4 White Marlin, and 2 65-70 Pound Yellowfin. At one a yellowfin and a white marlin were competing for the same bait. On another bite, while fighting one white and slow circling, we had another come in hot on a teaser, which Joe successfully pitch baited. Had both hooked up for a while, but eventually pulled the hook on the second one. Most of the action happened in about an hour towards the end of our day.
Starting tomorrow it's overnighters just about every day. We kick things off tomorrow with a 46 hour trip, a day off wednesday(maybe), then another 46 hour trip. Should have lots of good stuff to report when we get a break towards the beginning of next week.
