An OUTRAGEOUS day of cod fishing aboard the Golden Eagle today. After several drops with a good number of short cod coming over the rail and a handfull of keepers. Capt Rich Falcone and yours truly discussed several locations that may not have been fished so hard and picked the spot, taking a chance that we could strike out, but our instincts proved to be correct.

The Cod Fishing was OUT of CONTROL! A Golden Eagle regular, Herb from Belmar NJ pulled 5 double headers of keeper cod while most of our fishermen and ladies were hooked up and putting keepers in the boat. When all was said and done the Golden Eagle returned to Belmar with over 100 keeper cod aboard along with some ocean pout. Just an AWESOME bite for us today!
