Ramped it up today! The worms were lookin real bad so I turned up the heat... When the tide slacked out here came the striped bass! No monsters or even keepers but the 18-24 inch fish were a ball on eight pound. Fun keeping em off the pilings...

Possibly the best bassin I have had since I was a kid. Only difference though was back then we could keep em that size and wouldn't missus Deep have loved that... Oh well she's gonna have to wait til I get some more substantial sized ones...

Very cool. Nice to get some linesiders. Great fun on light tackle. When are they opening a pan fryer slot size?

As for the blowfish. My father still talks about catching garbage cans full back in the day. I remember we would get some as kids and they were great fun.

Saw one swimming this year and it made my day.

It's amazing that we have such a diverse set of wildlife coming through here.

I think some of us are fortunate in that we never get over the youthful wonder of it all... ...no matter the size of the fish.

Fished up by the hook yesterday... Steady pick of all kinds of stuff. Porgies, sea bass, togs, flukes, blues, sea robins... It didn't matter. It was stuff to do and smiles all around... A couple guys the boss invited had never even been on a boat... The smiles are what counts. Yes I love a big blue marlin as much as life itself but these little critters are filling a void...
