I will be in Crisfield MD 4/18/2009 fishing on the Bay Eagle with Capt. Larry Laird. Looking for suggestions for places to eat and have a couple cocktails when we get back. Tackle shop locations would be helpful as well.
I believe the Restaurant is called "Captain's Galley.." Pretty good don't forget to get a piece of Smith Island cake for desert, last month for good oysters too...
As far as tackle shops go, there is a Gander Mtn right up the road in Salisbury, then theres a place called Sea Hawk Tackle which is actually a real good store right on Rt 13 just south of Pocomoke City. It'd be a little detour depending on which way you're coming from but worth checking out.
Captain's Galley is closed. Side Street may be open by then but that's iffy. Waterman's will be your best bet for good grub and a few drinks. The Cove ain't bad either. For carry out call the Pizza Shoppe. A pleasent surprise in Crisfield is Lynn's Kitchen. A chinese joint. Probably the cleanest restaurant that you'll ever go in. Very surprisingly good food. One thing that you wanna do is to go to Gordon's for a cup of coffee. Trust me...you've never seen anything like it. It is where all the watermen from Tangier, Smith and Crisfield gather to solve the world problems.
Don't know where you are staying, but the best accomodations, a Holiday Inn Express, is in Pocomoke. That's about twenty miles away. There is ample places to drink and eat in P-city.
You will enjoy fishing with Larry. He'll do his best to put you on them.
