October 8th - 10th, 2004 BOATER'S WORLD STRIPER TOURNAMENT DATES ANNOUNCED.

October 8th - 10th, 2004 BOATER'S WORLD STRIPER TOURNAMENT DATES ANNOUNCED.

The tournament will be held at the Crystal Point Yacht Club and the Manasquan River Club. “These first class facilities are the perfect place to hold our event,” said Flocken. “On top of everything else the striper fishing in October can be fantastic.”
Contender and will present the keys to a brand new 21’ center console boat to the team that catches the largest striped bass over the two-day event. Sitting on the transom of the boat is a 200hp Yamaha Outboard. The winner will be able to tow the boat home on a custom, aluminum Loadmaster Trailer.
“Over $100,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs,” said Flocken “Other events offer big prizes, but they are usually tied to breaking a record or something. The team that catches the heaviest fish in New Jersey will take the Contender Home!” The full breakdown of the payoff can be found in the official tournament program available at your local Boater’s World store or here on the ASA web site. In the interest of conservation, each team will be allowed to weigh only one fish per day. There will also be prizes for the Top Lady and Junior anglers.
“As this tournament is limited to only 200 boats, we encourage all anglers to visit their favorite Boater’s World Marine Center and register or download an application from the web site,” explained Jolly. “For a deposit of just $50, teams can reserve a spot in the event.” Entry fees are just $275 per boat, early entry, and $325 at the tournament if there are any slots left.
“This event coincides with New Jersey’s fall trophy bass season and should produce some really great fish,” said Flocken. “We know of teams coming from as far away as Maine and North Carolina to fish this event. The weather is usually good at this time of the year, and there are lots of big stripers in the area. It’s truly a great place to fish!”
