Ocean Princess Fishing Report
Captain Victor Bunting on the Ocean Princess reports that he has seen a
couple of decent days of fishing over the last week. We have also seen
some really tough days too. On our half day trips we continue to fish for
sea bass and taug. On some trips it seems like we can get a little action
with the sea bass and other days they seem like an endangered species. We
have been picking up some keeper size taug here and there. Some days we
have just plain given up trying to catch sea bass and have concentrated on
catching taug. I can't guarantee when you come if we're going to
concentrate on fishing for sea bass or taug, it just depends on the
conditions for the day and what we did on the last trip! Unfortunately
our last 12 hour trip was not as productive as the previous ones. We did
so much running around looking for fish my fuel bill from that day alone
will probably pay for BP's mess in the gulf. Before the day was done we
had logged over 86 miles. We did pick up some nice sized sea bass and
some keeper flounder.
We are sailing daily from 8am till 12pm and 1pm till 5 pm. Hopefully,
with the warm weather were having, we'll start seeing some triggerfish
come in and maybe a few more flounders.
Hope to see you soon
Capt Victor
