Sunday was a decent day of Taug fishing. We started the day off with a steady pick of 5 to 10 pound Taug for the first couple hours. I thought we might have a shot at limiting everyone out, but things changed after the first couple of hours of fishing. Just like a light switch our steady bite turned into a slow bite but some of the guys still ended up pulling in some nice sized fish. As we usually do we tried moving to a couple different depths of water trying to get on a better bite. Anyone who is a Taug fisherman knows that taug is a finicky selective feeder and a difficult fish to catch at times. That is why we restrict to the boat to 25 fishermen even though we are capable of fishing 75. Even though the bite was slow for the rest of the day, by the end of the day we had some guys with their limit. Auggie and his crew from New York had a very nice catch of Taug up to 12 pounds; they are really good taug fisherman. Pictures of the catch will be posted soon. There are only 2 weekends left before the Ocean Princess will go to the boat yard for annual maintenance. We will only fish Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Friday’s trips are 10 hour and Saturdays and Sundays are 8 hour trips. We restrict the boat to 25 fishermen so call 410-289-6226 for reservations.

Hope to see you soon
