Went out today and spent 3 hours fishing the incoming tide. I was behind Somers Point at MacArthur Park. Caught abd release 1 baby flounder. I think my Gulp bait was bigger. My drift was too fast and I didn't want to use the big sea anchor beacuase I was alone and it's hard to get in fast. I went up nehind Ocean city near the yacht club where I pulled out 2 more non- keepers although 1 was close. I was amazed by how few boats were out behind Somers Point. It was a bright sunny day on an incoming tide. It should have been crowded.Only 5 or 6 boats were in the bay behind Ocean City. There were a good number of people fishing at 17th street. I took a picture of the American flag with the intention of posting it here. It's pretty tattered. I got boarded by the coasties at 11th st for a safety inspection. I told them about the flag. They said they are aware of it. They have ordered a new one. They said that the spring storms were really hard on the flag. I took the pictures just to show how few boats were out.
Spent the morning replacing a bilge pump in a hard to get to spot- Is there any location on a boat that isn't hard to get to. Fished the top of the tide at 17th street. Caught nothing but throw backs. There were a lot of boats out today , more than yeaterday
How if you would have invited me to go fishing with you , I could have pull in the sea anchor and " WE WOULD HAVE CAUGHT FISH " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still waiting for the invite ?
