OC Report, Bluefin at the Jackspot

With the weather about as nice as it gets decided to go out and see if we could find any bluefins. Started up by the Twin Wrecks and there were fish all over the surface but they would not bite. Ran down to the Jack Spot where a few fish had been caught. Caught one bird and one Horndog on the jig. Ended out day with one Bluefin 53 inches. Caught on the troll on a nekid horse bally.

    We did?

I thought we just went to Harborside.

Thanks again Al. what a fun day. Bluefins as far as the eye could see. Never really saw any big ones but the 30-50inch fish we absolutely everywhere.

The fishbonz actually caught one on a bucktail.

We were there yesterday too. Jackspot and a little NW seem to be holding the bulk of them. Couldn't figure out what they were eating though. Missed one on a popper, lost one at the boat on a blue/white dink, and killed one on a blue/white horse. Tried almost everything else...very picky. Heard radio chatter about little solid white on horse was working well. Didnt have that illander though...Know what they're eating?

No - we meant to check but we got hit again and then caught a bluefish as well as getting chomped off a few times on the planer rod so we kept forgetting to open the fish up.

We went to Harborside? You have a better memory than me! Wonder if you could catch them fish on the chunk? I'm up for another trip if we get some decent weather.

Al - Someone was talking on the radio about some guys that were chunking and doing pretty well. But I didn't hear any reports from them. I bet a live spot on a kite would whack em though.
