Fished with mom and dad for about 3 hours on Sunday. I was using live mullet I castnetted and the parents were using my standby tandem bucktails. First fish I hooked into was 21.5", second was 17". As soon as Dad complains that his rig isn't working anymore he lands a 20.5". Mom lost a monster when her 10 pound test snapped after a prolonged drag screaming battle. All these fish were in 7 feet of water in a little channel so don't think that you've got to be down in that mess of a crowd in the east channel. Drifting out of the seven and into 3 at one point, I reeled in my mullet(which was the biggest one I had and probably 7 inches long) I had the biggest flounder I've seen in a long time actually come out of the water like a bluefish for my mullet. Almost made me crap my pants, dropped it back and couldn't get him to take a second chance.
